Grandkids are the best

We are having a lot of fun with our grandkids, especially with Malinda and her two little ones here.

Malinda spent Monday night at Alisha's house and I met up with them in Payson on Tuesday for C. Hershey Track Meet and brought her back to our house. It is a remarkable experience to be able to bond with baby A. One that I didn't think I would get very often. She is such a cutie, as is her big sister K.







C was excited for his first track meet. He had could choose 3 events out of 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, and baseball throw. He chose 100m, in which he took 2nd place in the trials and 4th place in the semi finals, and 2nd place in the 400m. He started out strong and in first place, but 1/2 way through he got caught and passed. He signed up for the baseball throw, but I think he missed it, or if he threw, we weren't aware of it.

They sat in the back of the chapel and when Dennis and Alisha got up to sing, there they were. It made the singers choke up and have a hard time finishing their song. It has been 9 months since the "sisters" have seen each other, and 3 months since we have seen Malinda and the sweet girls. I just love these kind of surprises. Now it will be a short but sweet visit with them.

Garage sale season

Today was my first official garage sale of the season. I mean I went to my first one of the season. And look what I found for 1.00. It will go perfectly in my bedroom.

I also bought a fan (for this summer, we have been borrowing an old one that has a broken on-off switch) for 1.50 and a new 4 wheeler helmet for 20.00. I love garage sales.

Blogging deficit

I guess I have been pretty bad at posting lately. I do blog nearly daily, but it is on my diet blog. If you are bored to tears with it, I don't blame you because it is pretty much the same thing every day. But to make up for it I want to share this YouTube video with you. I got it from a friends blog and it made me really laugh. And as a bonus you get to watch Simon Cowell laugh too (well at least smile really big), won't THAT make your day!?!

Conference

I LOVED conference. Every talk was so good. I don't even have a favorite as there were too many good ones. I look forward to the Conference issue Ensign so I can re-read them. We might watch them on On Demand for FHE as Dennis missed all of Saturday's sessions even priesthood (bummer), because he was in Helper laying tile for his mom and dad, and it was the only day he and Steve could get together, and they didn't even get finished and now need to make another trip up there.

Just watching conference gives me such a peaceful feeling and boosts my spirit.
